Venice wedding photographer & videographer

We know Venice from work. Every year, as Visual Twins, we are on the Lido photographing and filming the red carpets of the Venice Film Festival, as an independent studio. For a wedding, that means a crew used to moving by water, to crowds, and to light that changes quickly on the lagoon.

We cover the whole day ourselves, with the team the day calls for: preparations in the palazzo or hotel, the ceremony, the boats, the portraits among the canals and the dinner.

Venice

Why couples choose Venice

A city without cars

Every movement happens by boat or on foot. Water taxis and gondolas are not a detail: they are the scenes guests remember and the most beautiful footage of the film.

Historic palazzi

The civil ceremonies of the Comune di Venezia are held in municipal venues such as Palazzo Cavalli on the Grand Canal, and many receptions take place in palazzi and hotels on the water.

Empty squares at dawn

St Mark's Square and the bridges are crowded for most of the day. For portraits without crowds we suggest a short early-morning session, before or after the wedding day.

Planning notes

Venice, seen from behind the camera

  • 01

Transfers by boat take longer than they look on the map, especially with guests. Build the timings with your planner and share them with us.

  • 02

A gondola ride after the ceremony films best from the bank or from a boat following it: we need to know the route.

  • 03

From autumn to spring, high water (acqua alta) can affect the lowest areas of the city. It rarely stops a wedding, but it can change routes and shoes.

  • 04

Some venues and churches have their own rules for photography and filming during the ceremony. We ask ahead and work within them.

How we cover your day

The owners behind the camera, their team around them

VT Weddings is the wedding studio of Visual Twins, the Milan-based production company of twin brothers Magdi and Yousef Soliman. They shoot your wedding themselves, one on the photographs and one on the film, with the team the day calls for: three to five professionals, depending on the collection. Documentary rather than directed, and we deliver previews, social reels, the full gallery and a cinematic wedding film. On request, a handmade album bound in Italy, and a personal photo collection delivered to every guest.

Questions about Venice

Are you the official photographers of the Venice Film Festival?

No. Visual Twins is an independent studio that works on the Lido during the festival for talents, designers and brands. It is not affiliated with La Biennale di Venezia. What we bring to your wedding is the experience of working in Venice every year.

Can we have portraits in St Mark's Square without crowds?

The square is quietest early in the morning. If you want it, we plan a short sunrise session on a separate time slot, so the wedding day itself stays relaxed.

How is travel handled, and what does it cost?

Photography or film alone, covered by the two of us who own the studio, starts at 5,000 EUR; the collections, where we bring the team and shoot both, start at 10,000 EUR. Travel and accommodation are quoted on top. Which one fits depends on how long the day is and how many professionals it needs, and we send the proposal within 24 hours of our call.

Other destinations

We also cover weddings in Portofino, Rome, Puglia, Taormina and abroad.
